I am a tech in a hospital so I normally wear a digital and use the hospital room clocks to count respirations. Just because I feel like wearing a nice fancy dress watch would get too dirty when rolling, changing, bathing, wiping and being up close and personal with patients. Now that I am transitioning into a nursing student I need a watch with a second hand. Is there any particular style that people are raving about?
So I actually found this watch here! Military time, date, water resistant, and a second hand! Oh and it's white too :) Cant beat it for $20! Thanks for all your help guys. I figured when I graduate I can upgrade

I got mine at Stein Mart for around $25. I like the larger, "men's style" face, and found a sensible Anne Klein watch that still looks great after a few years. I do go over it with an alcohol wipe or clorox wipe, and it doesn't seem to hurt it. It's also stainless steel, and is "water resistant to 100ft."
They also had a few of the kitschy, character watches.
Maybe also try Marshalls or TJMaxx? I wouldn't be too worried about it. Maybe find something with glow in the dark hands, if you are in dark rooms a lot.
