New nursing student here and I'm wondering what everyone recommends as far as a stethoscope. I'm looking to make a one time good investment so price isn't really too much of a concern.
Thanks in advance!

Try doing a search for opinions. There are a lot of threads on this subject.

Yes I did do that but had not found anything solid. Thanks for your suggestion though.

any will do. now all your classmates might be wearing litman around their necks, that doesnt mean you gotta get that brand. i wear a $20 prestige medical stethoscope and it looks cooler than my classmates tiny $100 stethoscope.

Sprague or Littman is my favorite.

I know this will sound rude, but why do people take the time to tell someone to do a search, or even search for links to threads when they could have taken less time to just answer the question? Again, I know that sounds rude, but I mean well.
My opinion is get the best that you can afford. I have a regular cardiovascular Littman, and got a Littman 3200 for Christmas because I have a hearing problem.

Perhaps because with one link I can sow you dozens of opinions versus just my own? Also around this time (and summer) people are starting school and often all have the same valid questions. Like how to study, extra books, best backpacks or stethoscopes....things can get very redundant. Not referring to you or this post, OP, just in general.
I have a Littman, but that's all I've had so I can't compare it to anything bit serves me well, though :)

Instead of having 10,000 threads asking the same question the search function should be used. That's why it is there.

Anywho, I am a huge fan of Litmann, I happen to use the Lightweight II, it gets the job done and I got it for 40 bucks on amazon a while back. Ideally in nursing school you want a medium range stethoscope, it's important to understand and hear the normal sounds before you can differentiate them from the abnormal. HAPPY SHOPPING!!
