Hello! I am a new grad RN, on probation due to convictions prior to 2006. I am grateful to have been sober for the past 10 years, and that the BRN granted me a license. However, I have had a hard time finding a job. It's only been a month, so I know I need to be patient. I have an ADN, I graduated in December 2015, and it took to BRN 21 months to process my license. Anyway, i don't really want to apply to a SNF, but if anyone recommends a decent one to work at, I'm all ears! I live in Camarillo.

What about dialysis? I never thought I would like it, but I really do. I work for Fresenius , they are very "recovery friendly". There's also another dialysis company called Davita...it would be worth checking into .. they pay really well , more than the SNF I used to work at.
Good luck!

Are you on the OIG exclusion list? This may keep you from working in a nursing home or any facility that excepts funding from Medicare/Medical. As far as a good one goes Brookdale tends to runs a pretty operation but in my personal experience working LTC is Pretty miserable. Check out dialysis or psych.
