My question, I am thinking about moving from Michigan to Tennessee and I wondering which hospital is the best around the Knoxville area, especially Open heart. Let me know, thanks:kiss

There's only a few that stand out. What's your criteria constituting "best". How important are the other things like management, work environment...?

The Regional Medical Center at Memphis (a county hospital) is a Level I trauma center that takes all trauma in a 150 mile radius. Outstanding facility. Burn unit, trauma center, teaching facility, etc.

Thanks for the replies!! I really want a good work environment and managment. I think I put this out there before I thought too hard!! I just would like to know which hospital has the best credentials for nurses in the Knoxville area, esp open heart. Thanks.

St. Thomas in Nashville certainly has one of the largest programs, volumewise. And, Nashville is a GREAT place to live. Good luck.
