Best routine to study for Excellsior Exam on your own

I just signed up to take Anatomy & Physiology for the Excelsior exam. Ordered all the books and slowly defining all terms in the free study guide that excelsior offers. I don't plan on paying extra for tutoring companies such as "TCN/ Rue". What is the best self study method for this exam, since the content is extensive? Please help.

A lot of students use notes from Studygroup101.com as well as the recommended textbooks for more depth. I always paid for and scheduled my exams before starting to study to give myself a deadline and keep me motivated.
