Best Places to Work as CNA ~ Arizona

Published

Hello Everyone!

I was wondering if fellow/former CNA's would not mind sharing where they love to work. I will be completing my CNA certification soon and want to work part time (somewhere with part time benefits) until my kiddo's are older. Then I would like to earn my BSN when my kiddo's start school.

So my ideal place of employment would be somewhere that offers part time benefits and tuition assistance. Thank you in advance for sharing your experience/knowledge and best of luck to everyone!

Hello! My first job as an aide was in a hospital on a med/surg. floor, and I love it! Still there too. I feel like I am learning so much about nursing and medicine in particular because of all the various diagnosis that we get with each admit. I also work home-health, and enjoy that very much as well. It's nice to be able to spend quality time with each patient, getting to know them and their life. I have never worked in a nursing home/ LTC or anything, so I can't comment on that, but I would like to try it down the road, to get a sense of the difference so I can really find my niche. If you are going for your BSN, may I recommend trying the hospital setting. You do learn quite a bit, just from listening and watching, and many of the aides I work with who are in nursing school find it helps them out a lot! Good luck!

Did you find anything in Arizona? I have my certificate of completion in Nurse Assisting from PVCC. But have not taken my exam yet. I'm scared, but I want to start working soon. I put in apps at JCL and PVH... we'll see what happens, fingers crossed!
