Best online CNA program?

Published

Hi everyone.

Do you know of any fast-track CNA online programs? Which would you recommend? Thanks.

As far as I am aware of there is no such thing.CNA classes require clinical which can not be done online. The fast track is being in your second year of nursing school and you can challenge the test.

Honestly though CNA classes only take an average of 6 weeks to complete. And some can be even less. Anyone can give 6 weeks of their time to be a CNA. Really how much faster does anyone need then that

Specializes in PCT, RN.

Agreed with all of this.

I have never head of an online CNA course. You have to complete a certain number of clinical hours in order to be eligible to take the test (unless you finish your first set of clinicals in nursing school, then you are considered eligible to work as a CNA).

My CNA course was only 4 weeks. Doesn't get much faster than that.

You learn TONS of really important skills; it's not something you can just skim through online in an hour and become certified.

Thank you! I'm actually an international RN. But having just moved to where I am right now, it'll take so much time to get my RN license. So while waiting, I wanted to keep using my nursing skills so 1. I won't forget it. 2. Be continuously updated with what's new in the field. Thank you. I found a 2-week course (80 hrs) in my area.

Thank you for the response. I think I'm ready to challenge the test. But I went to an international nursing school. Being the curriculum different than in nursing schools here, the state Nurse Aide registry does not recognize the nursing program I went through. I just needed a proof that I went through a CNA program to be able to sit for the test.

Online CNA courses do exsist, *however,* you must complete clinical rotations with facilities approved by the course provider. I did all the bookwork and paper tests online but did my clinicals at an area nursing home.

Hello. May I know what online program that was? Thanks.

They were called We Care Online, but they only operate in a limited number of states.
