Best NCLEX review

Published

I have been out for some time and want to pass my NCLEX but now many reviews. Which are the best two programs to pass the NCLEX. Please help?

NCSBN: Cheap self-paced review, outline format for content with links to additional info on other sites, questions are pretty good

Kaplan: I took the live review they basically teach technique on how to answer questions with their decision tree, you get a basics and content review books, you also have access to content videos on-line and a qbank that's pretty good.

Hurst: I had access to the materials and not the actual site. The videos are helpful for giving you the base information you need on med-surg topics. The questions didn't seem to be as close to NCLEX as other programs.

I recommend being self-motivated and just purchase a Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX-RN and use that for content only. The questions in Saunders are not at the passing NCLEX level in my opinion. You can answer them if you wish, but there are better sources out there for questions.

I would purchase Prioritization, Delegation, Assignment by Lacharity. I found this book to be helpful in answering priority questions, who to see first, who to delegate to etc.

Finally purchase UWorld NCLEX-RN Qbank which in my opinion is the best qbank hands down. The rationales are the gold standard and serve as a content review itself.

Saunders+PDA+Uworld = $155 vs. Kaplan & Hurst which are $300.
