what are your strategies/tips DURING the exam
I think its best just to go into the test with a clear head. It took me like an hour and a half to get to the testing center, so I just threw on Spotify and listened to some of my favorite music. I just felt at ease when I took the test and was just content with doing the best I was capable of doing. The first time I took NCLEX I only used the breaks scheduled on the computer screen. I think it's better to take them as you feel fatigued. The 2nd time I took the test I didn't take any breaks the computer cut off before I was fatigued or alerted by the computer to take a break. The rule of thumb for SATA questions is that you can't choose them all or just choose one and get it correct. You have to at least choose two answers and you can choose all but one answer and get it correct.

Best NCLEX review
NCSBN: Cheap self-paced review, outline format for content with links to additional info on other sites, questions are pretty good Kaplan: I took the live review they basically teach technique on how to answer questions with their decision tree, you get a basics and content review books, you also have access to content videos on-line and a qbank that's pretty good. Hurst: I had access to the materials and not the actual site. The videos are helpful for giving you the base information you need on med-surg topics. The questions didn't seem to be as close to NCLEX as other programs. I recommend being self-motivated and just purchase a Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX-RN and use that for content only. The questions in Saunders are not at the passing NCLEX level in my opinion. You can answer them if you wish, but there are better sources out there for questions. I would purchase Prioritization, Delegation, Assignment by Lacharity. I found this book to be helpful in answering priority questions, who to see first, who to delegate to etc. Finally purchase UWorld NCLEX-RN Qbank which in my opinion is the best qbank hands down. The rationales are the gold standard and serve as a content review itself. Saunders+PDA+Uworld = $155 vs. Kaplan & Hurst which are $300.

Failed NCLEX RN twice could use advice for third try
For content I would use Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX. If you want something more condensed you might want to try Kaplan's content review book. For questions I recommend UWorld they have the best qbank hands down in my opinion. You not only get questions that are tough and on the passing level of NCLEX, but you also get unbelievably detailed rationales. The rationales on UWORLD are golden and can be considered a content review itself. I also recommend prioritization, delegation and assignment by Lacharity. Priority questions are abundant on the NCLEX and the book will get you on the right track with those questions. Lastly I recommend that 35 page NCLEX study guide that's floating around the net. A simple google will bring it up and download that. I know that guide helped me out on a few questions on the NCLEX.

What should you review over the summer going into a nursing program?
I just got accepted into the fall semester of an ADN program. It has also been a semester or two since I had A&P I & II. I just wanted to know what are the main topics I should brush up on going into the program.

How hard is Statistics?
Stats was easy for me finished with a 99 average, but I don't think every instructor is the same. Hopefully your instructor allows you to use a resource sheet with all your formulas. If not, then just work on remembering the formulas because that's all stats really is.
