Since I'm almost done with A&P II, I wouldn't recommend starting to study/learn before the class. I bought a coloring book to use for school and I ended up not using it at all. Instructors are SO different with regards to what bits they choose to teach about, that you risk introducing information that you don't need at all.
But that's just my two cents :)
Thank you for your input ladies! ☺ï¸
I have to take the course this summer because it is not offered in the evening next fall when I have reliable childcare. Physiology, however, IS offered in the evening in the fall so I feel like taking it this summer is my only real option.
I plan to study for 4 weeks leading up to the start of the course so that I'll have a better chance at being successful. I have a marieb anatomy book that I purchased to supplement my course materials for a human biology class I took last fall. The textbook information for my summer course has not been released yet on the bookstore website so I'm not sure what text our class will be using (most likely marieb). I figured taking notes from my old marieb book and doing the coloring book will help me familiarize myself with the material. I know I'll be at a disadvantage going into physiology because of the shorter duration of the anatomy course.
I honestly didn't have time to use my coloring books while I was taking A&P, however, I'm enjoying them very much now that the classes are over. I would recommend "The Anatomy Coloring Book" by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence M. Elson. It's a relaxing way to keep the material fresh in my mind now that I'm preparing for the TEAS test.

Hi everyone! I will be taking anatomy soon and want to get some coloring books to work on before the class starts. Could anyone recommend books that worked best for you? Also, how many should I get? I haven't found one book the includes the whole body. I've seen some the are only the bones of the skull and hands and muscles of the face.
Thank you!
