best advice for a phone interview

I am a new grad and applying for jobs. I have a phone interview on Wednesday and was wondering if any of you have some good tips for the phone interview? What exactly are they wanting to hear for this screening so I can get an in person interview? My other interviews have all been in person. Thanks!

I have conducted phone interviews ... and my main piece of advice is to smile as you are speaking. It's easy while on the phone to pay less attention to your voice, inflection, energy level, general tone, etc. and begin to sound monotone. You don't want to do that. You want to sound up-beat and enthusiastic about the job (but not crazy manic or hyper). One good way to hit that nice middle ground of being up-beat and pleasant without being over-the-top is simply to smile as talk.

I was going to say the same thing - smile!! :) Great advice from llg.
