Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
Daddy-O...I will stay hopeful!! And thanks to you and missmoone for the micro recommendation but I took micro at another college. :)
Just one question, can we wear white crocs during clinicals? I work for a podiatrist and we have medical crocs. They are not attractive BUT a lot of our patients say they are comfortable. Before I buy them, I'd like to make sure our professors will allow it.

Do the crocs have holes ? I would ask the Dept about this just to be sure. I have seen some wear mules, but the only reason why I say to ask the dept is because of the holes that some of the crocs have. Not sure if this presents a safety issue or not.
I have seen clogs worn, but i don't think this is the same...correct me if i am wrong.
when can we become a cna automatically? like after which semester? because im trying to find a job and they are only hiring certified aides.
i was told after level 2. i sent the course descriptions for both the level 1 and 2 courses and were told that up to level 2 satisfies the practical portion of the exam. so you will be exempt from the practical portion but will still need to take the written. pearson vue should be able to further explain....and here

Im so excited! i got my uniform in today :) I have the 3 main books... pharm/nursing fundamentals/physical and health assesments. just need to get the other ones.... Is everyones CPR class long? mine is from 9-530.. pretty intense i think for a saturday... I dont know what shoes to get.. i wonder if like all white shoes are fine but they are probably going to have a logo... i mean... even the nursing shoes they sell have a logo... a blue heart... so why sneakers of our taste or comfiness?
I took my CPR class in Wayne.. The instructor made it really interesting so the 4hrs went by really quickly.. you took an easy 20 question, multiple choice test and at the end we got a book with cd and a free CPR MDI key ring :-) .. fun times
I'm in sec 602
Haven't ordered my uniform yet.. I figured I'd wait until it gets closer to the start of the semester. Still hav \e to mail in that kit order form

Wow Yessi that is intense. My class was 4 hours and very easy.
For the shoes, you can get any brand just as long as they are white. I'm still looking into which ones to get; I want to make sure they are comfortable.
Looks like we are in the same section! Look forward to meeting you and everyone else :)
