Bergen Community College Nursing Evening 2015

Hey everyone, I know its early but I was just wondering who was going to apply for the 2015 Evening Nursing program. I have attempted to apply for the 2014 day program but was denied due to the fact that my "Chemistry" prerequisite class was unacceptable. Anyways, I was hoping we could all help each other out when the time comes.

Is anyone else majoring in something else along with Nursing? Double Major, or a minor or a certificate?

Im wondering if i should also major in something else as well along with the Nursing.

I know a guy now going on to the second level with a double major in Nursing and Chemistry.

I always had an interest in Computer animation and was thinking of pursuing either a certificate or an associates but Im not sure atm.

Needless to say, im sure computer animation wont help me with Nursing at all but art was something I was good at when I was young and I would hate to give that up.

I'm not double majoring with Nursing at school but I do have a BS in Chemistry. Unfortunately with the economy I was unable to find a job in the field that's why I'm turning to nursing.

My personal advice is stick to one major for now and see how the first semester goes but I guess u can major in something else if you are passionate about it. Good luck!

Obviously there are other reasons I want to become a nurse as well but if you can afford tuition...I say do it! More power to you! =)

Ah isee. My only issue with the evening program is that the classes you take dont equal to a fulltime status. Therefore i have to find other classes to take to keep my full time status and my financial aid...

That's my problem.. 4 classes and it's still not full time!!! Ugh, my plan is to just take an honors course each semester for the next 4 semesters to get the honors degree.. Just gonna roll with that I guess..

lol that was my plan but I didnt enjoy my honors class before so i decided to drop it.

How about a minor in general science? Since you took a few science classes for nursing. Online course?

Lol. Again, I don't know. I'm just throwing options out there for you. I know we get assigned a counselor at orientation.

Lol yea I think that is the better option but again I dont want to give up on animation even though I doubt itll help me in the long run for Nursing.

Hows everyone doing with the math packet? I feel like its the same as the conversions from Chem and the HESI with a little more.

I finally handed in all my paperwork! Such a relief. Now I'm ready to start hitting the books. ;)
