Hey everyone, I know its early but I was just wondering who was going to apply for the 2015 Evening Nursing program. I have attempted to apply for the 2014 day program but was denied due to the fact that my "Chemistry" prerequisite class was unacceptable. Anyways, I was hoping we could all help each other out when the time comes.
Congratulations to everyone in the acceptance to the Evening program. It's going to be a long journey but definitely worth going through. I wish you nothing but the best, if anyone needs help, pointers and a guide throughout the program please to not hesitate to contact me and once again I will leave my email to anyone that would like to use it! Again welcome to the program!!!

Hi Everyone! Level 1 day time nursing student here and I would like to congratulate you all for getting in! Just a few pointers that helped me through out my journey... I rented the fundamentals book and borrowed the physical assessment book from a friend, did neither for the pharmacology book since my pharm teacher goes strictly off power points (easiest class of the three for me). The only book I attempted to read was the physical assessment book, out of all three classes I find that one to be the most challenging, especially the wording on the exams. For fundamentals I would recommend getting your critical thinking skills up to par because you will need it but I find that to be an easy task for me, for others not so much so I guess it all depends on you. The program didn't seem so bad in the beginning but as the semester progresses there seems to be so much to study for and so much due, but its doable- i'm married with two children, so if I can do it, so can you.
Also, would like to add that I never bought any of the care plan books or additional resources as they suggest, but it may work for you, you can find a lot of care plan examples online and that's what I have been using. I do find that the online resources on Elsevier is a good help, but that shouldn't be your only source of studying. I have heard that the night time program has tougher instructors so it seems to be a bit harder than the day program, but I can't say much about that, only what I have been told from evening students. If you guys have any questions please feel free! Again congrats and good luck with everything!
