Ben Taub Grad Nurse Internship 2014

Hey guys I have applied for the Graduate Nurse Internship at Ben Taub and really want to work there. I did attend the Information session they had on March 10,2014 and was wondering if anyone has heard anything. I know they said we would here about interviews sometime next week but then I read in another thread people may have been receiving Thank You emails from them for attending the information session. has anybody gotten one? Also we can use this to keep each other updated and help each other get through this.

beana34, bsn2013rn: If yall dont mind me asking, where else are yall interviewing at? I know Memorial Hermann is interviewing next week.

Also, what are your top choices for harris health? I was told that harris health used to call in batches so I am curious if they are emailing people according to the top choices / departments.

P.S. Anyone who applied for TCH: I called HR and they said they have just started making calls. So we should be hearing from them soon.

mrsrn2014: I am also interviewing at Hermann TMC and was asked to interview at St Lukes, but I turned it down since I have had these other offers closer to where I live. I really just applied to every New Grad position I found no matter how far, but seeing how my interviews went well, I'd rather leave that spot for someone else.

My top choice was for Harris Health was Ben Taub Level I ER, but they said since I did not do a full semester or a capstone it would not be likely I could start there whereas other candidates who did a whole semester in the ER or the majority of the semester in the ER could. I interviewed for Trauma IMU and CCU today. Neither of which were anywhere near my choices?? So, I really don't know how they are doing it. I talked with another girl today that interviewed with CCU. She said that was not her initial choice either and that it was her only interview today. She also was interviewing at Hermann TMC next week. I did not apply to children's. I think that is one of the only places I did not apply to; not kidding when I said I applied everywhere. LOL

I applied for EVERYTHING as well lol. Even position i wasnt sure if i wouldve gotten the chance. I only had one interview as well. My top choice wasnt available so i took my second with medsurg. I believe it went well so it would be nice if i didnt have to interview next week and give it to someone else. Well i hope everyone is able to get what they truly want. Good luck to you. Hey guys! So I know some of my classmates got calls with offers on Friday from Harris Health and I got a call today. The lady told me they are still in the process of calling the people who were chosen. Best of luck to everyone!

Does anyone have any information about the Dosage Calculation Test that is required before employment? Ben Taub is requiring it but im sure all of Harris Health is also. They gave a study guide but it is very general. Does anyone have any other information about this test?
