Is anyone familiar with Belmont Technical College?
Are you attending or have you graduated from there. Interested in hearing about your experience.

Hi ! I have read a few of your posts and although I am not familiar with this particular school I am also from ohio (live in chicago now) and am moving back this summer to go to nursing school in the fall. What part of Ohio are you in? The school I will hopefully get into is a diploma program at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. If you are close by you may want to check it out! It's an awesome school and I will know if I am accepted in March! Best of luck to you! Louisepug
I live in the southeastern part of ohio towards wheeling wv.
Actually I have already been accepted into the ADN program there, I am just waiting for my formal letter for fall qtr.
THanks for the info, and good luck to you!

Hi everyone!
I'm also from Ohio...dayton area!
I have applied to a school in Pittsburgh though because all of the nursing schools around here have an outrageous waiting list! like a year or two.
i go on the 23rd of this month to take my pre-nursing exam and will find out in march if i get in or not!
just wanted to say hi...good luck to you all!

Hi Tasha! Wow, applying in Pittsburgh?! Just out of curiosity, which schools had the waiting lists that you applied to? I applied to one in Cincinnati, but was thinking of applying to some in Dayton, so it would be of big help if I knew the status beforehand of the ones in Dayton. Thanks so much, and good luck to you! I'm going to Sinclair Community College in Dayton & we have a waiting list. Around 6 quarters long at the moment. I'm waiting myself. But I've got classes I can take in the meantime, so it's not too terrible. I can keep myself busy.
I don't know about Kettering Medical College having a waiting list or not. I didn't try to get in there cos it was a lot more expensive than Sinclair.
Wright State probably doesn't have a waiting list, but you don't actually start the nursing classes the first quarter you're there from what I hear, and it's really expensive too.
Good luck to all of you. I know that my school also has a waiting list.

Sinclair, Christ Hospital (cincy)...i think they are changing into a 4yr program with this falls class or next spring...oh shoot there is one in springfield that i applied to also...
finally i got fed up with the whole wait list game that i called a couple of schools in PA, IN, KY...PA offered alot better and was still pretty close to home (about 3.5hr drive).
the school i applied to in PA offers a full tuition payment in exchange for a 2 year work contract. It's the ONLY way i can afford to go to school so i'll take it. they pretty much do first come first serve, which makes it really nice.
i had all my stuff in since NOV, i take my entrance exam (PSB-RN) on the 23rd of the month and should hear by march if i'm accepted into the program for fall of this year. it's a 20 month diploma program (i like how clinicals start right away) and i can do the RN-BSN the following year...so a total of 3 years from this fall and i'll have my BSN...not too shabby...i ultimately want my masters and be a pediatric NP...just gotta keep pluggin away!

Wow! Pediatric NP, that's great! My first choice is the one in Cincy, and as far as I know it's still a diploma program. But my second choice is actually one in Florida, it's the florida hospital college of health ASN program. I'll know if I get in to either or both in May! Good luck to you! Louisepug

thanks! i'm nervous but i'm sure it will all pass over well...i hope you get into the one in Cincy...i know they had a slight wait , and i think they are on a competition basis to get in (another reason i chose the one in PA) but i'm sure you'll do fine!
have you lived in Ohio before? i've been here most of my life, lived in Mississippi for about a year and then came back here. i guess ohio will always be my home no matter where i end up!
i'll keep you posted as to what's happening with my getting into school...you do the same, and good luck!
