Bellevue College 2012 hopefuls

Published

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to Bellevue College for Fall 2012/Winter 2013 and I just want to hear from anyone who has also applied there. What are your TEAS scores? Do you guys know when we will hear back regarding acceptance/ rejection letters? Is Bellevue College your first choice or are you guys spreading out your applications to other schools?

Congrats rnjenn! So are you definitely in for Fall or Winter?

Thanks for getting back to my comment so quickly! I am just really nervous that the classes would just fill up and by the time I am ready to register (and probably put on the waitlist), there just wouldn't be a spot that would open for me. I know that they're not going to give me preferential treatment over other BC students when it comes to registration time, but I would be so crushed if I get disqualified for this :bluecry1:

Thanks! I am in for fall. I am nervous too and just went to see if I could register and I don't have a registration appointment date or time so I had to call and now I have to wait for an email before I can get that. I didn't realize they changed the requirement and thought I could take that class NEXT summer. Ooops. Hopefully we will get registered. When is your registration time?

UPDATE!

I just got a reply from the Chie regarding this CMST 280 dilemma. According to her, we must REALLY TRY to take this class before we start the program because the program is already so intense that we would be stretched thin if we take this class on top of our normal nursing courseload. HOWEVER, she stated that if we are not able to take this class at all now, we have until NEXT summer (summer 2013) to take this class and still be able to graduate. If this course isn't completed by graduation audit (I'm not really sure what that means, but I'm just gonna say by next summer), we won't be able to graduate.

This is pretty much word for word what her email to me said.

On the other hand, congratulations on getting in this fall! I am so very excited for all of us :)

You might want to check on BC's website yourself regarding your appointment time because I did not get any email (both through my personal email and my BC email) regarding appointment times, so that is a bit misleading.

Wow...good to know! I am still hopefully going to take it this summer if I can get in, but if not then no need to stress about it. Thanks for checking on that! I did check the website and because I hadn't taken any classes at BC it wanted me to pay another registration fee....so I called and they did something manually in the office and now I have to wait for an appointment to be set.

My letter arrived, and I'm in for the fall too! Congrats to everyone else!

As far as intercultural, I did it a couple of years ago; had a really late registration time and was still able to get in. I don't think it's a class that fills up too quickly. Also, I did a hybrid class; not sure if there are any completely online options, but the one I did was decent and I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not being in a classroom every day for it. I took mine with Anderson - great instructor!

Can't wait to meet some of my classmates next month!

Does only fall acceptance people get a letter right now? I got in for winter quarter and haven't received a letter yet.

I am in for Winter Quarter and I got my letter today. As far as the CMST class, I don't think anyone will have a problem getting in. I think there are a lot of class options for it. I took it as an online course and it was very easy. I would highly recommend doing the online option if you don't want to have drive to the college.

No letter for me yet :(

And everyone should take CMST online. Piece of cake!

Charlotte66, I believe they were only mailed out yesterday; probably will show up in a day or two. :nurse:

Got my letter today! Got in for Fall! Kinda happy to be starting earlier (instead of winter), but not so happy because I didn't apply for finaid on time, assuming I wouldn't start until Winter. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Downton - go ahead and put your app in; call them and explain the situation. (I've had nothing but positive interactions each time I've spoken to someone in that office) You might be able to get an "exceptional circumstances" label, which will allow them to process your paperwork earlier than they normally would. It's worth a try anyway....

I guess I'll see you next month at orientation! Congratulations!

Congrats everyone! I also got in for Winter. Downton, didn't you say that you were starting in the winter first?
