hi there,
i am just starting out, still on my practicum actually!we are on a lock down dementia ward,it is a big adjustment but i am really enjoying it.we are still learning all the lifts, getting to know the residents and staff.it is so nice to hear that you still have passion and satisfaction after being in the field for that long.good luck to you, sounds like you are following your bliss by doing hospice! two women in our class are doing the training right now.i am hoping to segue this into working with kids with disabilities,or something slightly different.hope all is well take care!:penguin:

this is such an encouraging post! it is neat to find nursing assistants that are loving it...
i know that alot of nas are on their way to nursing with a capital n, but i am glad that some see nursing assisting as a valid place to be.
we all have our niche in life, and there are a number of reasons why we end up doing what we do. i personally believe we are created for a special place, and excepting that place is a large part of "following your bliss" :)
done the dementia lock down, and there is not much like it, but it is very satisfying, to be there for folks who need so much. good for you!
Hey there! What a history. I'm glad you're happy ^_^
I want to go to school and become a doctor of emergency medicine. I'm going to work as a CNA fulltime for a year before I go, and then part time throughout. One of the best things is, I have a former doctor as a patient on my assignment. He's a cutie pie. I adore him! Ever since he found out what I'd like to pursue he's been mentoring me here and there :)
