I am hoping to get in to BCTC Nursing Fall, '09.
I am taking college Algebra this semester, plan on taking developmental psych and A&PI next semester. A&PII and my CNA course in the summer. All other prerequ's are met, I am a transfer with an A.A in humanities. My accumulative GPA is a 2.7 or a 2.8. Don't remember which. I have sent in my letter of intent, have my ACT, High School and College Transcripts in. What should I do? I know there is no way for you to really know for sure but do you think my odds are good?
I really appreciate any advice.
BTW, I am doing really well in my college Algebra course.
I've been checking for the last couple days, but it still has the -- next to Accepted. Does that mean I was denied?
No, it does not mean you were denied. It means that a decision has not been reached yet in your case. You should hear something soon. If you don't hear anything by the end of April, I would contact Emily Piercy.
I am not even on the alternate list!!! Plus I had everything but Micro completed. Everyone I know is SOOOOO UPSET! As of right now, I'm in the process of trying to get into Midway.
I am really sorry to hear it. I wanted to let you know that Maysville Community and Technical College has a campus in Licking Valley, and I am pretty sure they do spring enrollment. So, you could try them too. I am in Georgetown and Licking Valley is only about thirty minutes from me.

Thanks. I knew about the GPA recalculation. But I only have 6 credit hours at BCTC, when the current semester ends I will have 15 but I was only out of school for a year and 1/2. I think I can still do it though because one of the schools on my transcripts was from ten years ago. Not sure.
