Hello everyone,I wanted to start this forum because I'm getting nervouse about my application to the BSN program at Bcit. I appled for this August (2012) and I am still awaiting a reply. Has anyone else applied? I would love to hear about your application so I have something to compare myself against and could know ways to improve. Please let me know:)Cheers!
Hi guys
I also deferred from Jan and will be starting the program in August! As for the immunizations, I went to the orientation for the Jan intake and remember them taking about how they will email, as well as give out information packages during first orientation which should be in May, and it will tell us how to get all the necessary forms completed properly. So for now I don't think there is much to do besides more waiting and making sure your up to date on your shots. I got my info on what I needed from a disease controls center, so I would suggest going to one of those clinics. Good luck to everyone trying to get, and don't get discouraged if you don't make it in the first time. I applied three times, and the main factor that got me accepted was focusing on getting tons of volunteer hours!!
Hi everyone
I found out I got shortlisted a few days ago. Does anyone know what is the max amount of references we are allowed to submit? The email said at least 2 so I assume we can submit more.
And for all of those still waiting to hear back, don't worry they said they will be reviewing applications until the end of March so there is still time!
I find it strange they didn't let everyone know at the same time (I was informed on Thursday morning). The deadline to get the letter of intent and references into the office is April 16, but unless the later people's date is prorated then they will get less time to get the stuff in.
Anyways, its my first time applying, and no degree.
And for reference, I handed in my application a day after the deadline.
Hi Kat28,
I hate that we are still in the same boat of waiting and checking our mybcit 20 times a day, but it is comforting to know there are other people in the same situation. Good luck, hang in there
Hey Alee1992,
I was shortlisted in Jan 2012 and they sent me an e-mail with information on what I needed to submit, For the references there is a template you need to print out and bring to your manager/ supervisor to fill out. Letters of reference might be good too. I think the more you have the better.

Thanks yohane!
I need to take LIBS 7001 and 7002. Thanks for the feedback!
I was informed by phone about ...a week ago? She mentioned that they were a bit behind schedule but they are trying their best. When I was shortlisted from Jan 2012, they didn't mention (as I can remember) as to how many people were shortlisted. I could only imagine how many people were shortlisted ..since BCIT receives so many applicants
