Air Hi all! I am creating this forum in hopes to connect with other pre-nursing student applying into BCC's program for fall of 2018! What other schools are you applying to? What are your grades and TEAS scores? Also, current students, if you have any advice or insight on the program?
Thanks! Can't wait to hear from you all.
Thanks Lisa! That's good to hear someone got in with a 3.2. I've heard of someone getting in with a 3.4 also so, that makes me feel a little better. My GPA is based off of full time classes so, hopefully that will be in consideration. I've also applied for traditional as my second choice. That was also my concern that less people are picked but, the adviser told me it won't hurt my chances of getting in. The worse case is I'll get traditional instead, which is fine by me also. I'm with you, its out of our hands now just got to wait and see! Hope these 2 months fly by! Good luck and happy new year!
Do any of u happen to know anyone who has already done nursing through e-health? I've gotten some info on it but would so much rather hear students experiences with it and how it differs compared to traditional. I mean I know the difference is online lectures but how they liked it/how well they did with it. Wish there were more forums of nursing students who have completed school and could share their experiences and give tips lol
Hey Caroline! Def scared! I think it's normal and we prob all feel it...so much unknown and it's very nervewracking. Just trying to tell myself what's meant to be will be and will take it one day at a time. When do u plan to take micro? All I have left is APII that I'm taking this semester. Good luck hun. Hope everyone is doing well..fingers crossed for us all :)
I also applied to the Nursing program! I applied last year as well but did not get in because my Chemistry grade was a C. I repeated it since last year and got an A so hopefully this is my year! I am also graduating in May with my Associates in Science and literally have all classes done and Some! I want Traditional not e-health. I have taking online classes in the past and it's just not for me! My friend did the e-health from BCC and now just graduated with her BSN from another school and is moving on to be an NP! I am also applying to other schools as well! This is nerve wracking seeing i didn't get in last year!
Hi Jamie! That's awesome that you retook the class and did so well! I've only taken one class online (well, hybrid) that's why I'm nervous about choosing e-health I really hope I wouldn't regret it. I figured since it's just the lecture part and I'd still be meeting for labs and I'll def be finding a study group or asking questions if I have any, I really hope I can do it. Congrats to your friend that's awesome..how did she like e-health?! I'm really hoping for you to get in..they should see how much u want it by re-taking the class and improving your grade it shows your dedication.
Good luck to us all!!!
Thank you Lisa!! My friend loved the e-health but she is super smart so she picks up things easy! She told me i will get in this year but.... i am still pretty nervous! A denial letter is the worst! This is my last year i can try to get in a program! My fiance says he won't waste anymore years supporting me for school.

Hi Steph! Glad u joined in. I heard that about the teas too, so passing is all that matters :) I have no idea what my points add up to because I don't know all of my grades. My transcript was faxed right to them and I never even saw a copy of it lol. But I def know gpa alone isn't everything and I've heard of someone with a 3.2 being accepted and a 4.0 not being accepted!! It's crazy to think of how that's possible but the other factors they look at must be how you earned the gpa like one class at a time versus a full course load? That's the only thing I can think of!? I just know it's out of my hands now so I'm trying hard not to obsess about it and hope for the best. Hopefully these next few months will go by quick!! Did you choose traditional learning for your second choice or are u only able to do the e-health program? That was stressing me out the most bc of how only 24 online students are accepted! And also nervous of how I'd like it. So many unknowns. Well good luck to you and Happy New Year to everyone who's still around!! :)
