Unfortunately, it has to be fully completed when you turn your application in. If you are looking to apply for the August program, then check with Sheridan Tech. They offer the health career core course and they have both face-to-face and online courses. The online course (the one I took) is done in 3 weeks, so you just need to check and see when they are offering it again. I think they may have one more before the May deadline to apply. I know that BC accepts it and its basically your only shot if you want to apply for August. Its also cheaper than the HCP course at BC, and it includes all the CAE courses you need as well (CPR, domestic violence, etc.)
Here's the link to Sheridan's info page (look on the first page under "Medical Technology"):

Good luck.
If you can't take it at MDC online, then you can take it online at Sheridan Tech. You have to go in one afternoon for like 2 hours for an orientation, and then one Friday from 8:45-2 or 3 for CPR skills. Everything else is online and BCC takes it. The class takes 3 weeks and then you're done.
Hi,
I have a question about the Health Career Core class. Is anybody taking it this fall 2011? I am having difficulty getting information from the college. My councilor said it was full- but then I called the continuing education at broward, and they said you couldn't even register for it yet! it's frusterating because thats the only class I need to finish to apply for May!!

Good evening everyone,
When applying for the program at Broward CC. Do you need to complete HCP0130 (Health Career Core) (75.0 Contact Hours) BEFORE getting a letter of acceptance to the program?
I'm transferring from Miami Dade College, and I was wondering if I can apply to the program and then take the class. Or do i have to take HCP0130 before applying?
Thank you in advance
