Hi,
I am currently applying to the following nursing programs and am quite unsure about my GPA at the moment. I am aware nursing programs in BC are very competitive and would just like to have an idea of what grades people have gotten in with. Can anyone who recently got into the following programs share with me what their GPA was?
COTR, Selkirk, CNC, UNBC, Camosun/UVIC, UBCO, NIC, OC, VIU, UFV, and TRU
I have a 91 in Foundations 12, 87 in English 12, 90 in Chemistry 11, 78 in Bio 12 (currently retaking for a better grade, I am anticipating 86+), and I am currently taking Chemistry 12 as well. I also have 24 non-nursing credits and I am taking some nursing courses right now that will help lessen my course load once I am in the program.
I am also wondering if I should include my post-secondary credits as well when I apply and if that will increase my chances? I am applying to quite a few places and so ordering transcripts will be quite pricey and so I am just wondering if it is even worth it.
I am also applying to BCIT, Langara, and VCC with the required prerequisites but I am aware they prefer applicants with much more credits.
Thank you!

Hi, I’ve been accepted but I’m gonna decline my offer, hopefully that will help you out! Also in my experience, you can just call the admissions office and ask how many people are on the waitlist and they will let you know.
No, I didn't even apply to TRU. I applied only to 2: VIUand NIC.
but got a rejection from VIU, and waitlisting NIC. so,I do understand how you feel.
it was my first-time applying (I wasn't aware that it is super competitive, I thought I have a strong GPA close to 4.0-all together), but it is not quite enough.
I did so, I applied after receiving rejection(late April) to Toronto 5 colleges for 2 year LPN program, as I can't wait another year to apply. I got answers from 2. I accepted 1 of them.
