"Hey everybody!
I just received a survey from BCNU regarding the next round of bargaining next year. I know many of us have been negatively affected by the poorly thought out changes to our health benefits, and I personally am not at all happy by the increase in the work week to 37.5 hours.
This is our chance to let the union leadership know that we are not happy with the results from the last contract negotiation!
PLEASE fill out your survey and send it in before October 21!!!
Please ask every nurse you know to fill out their survey too!
Nurses are the largest workforce in the health care system. Together our voices can make a difference!
Thanks."

ABs work week is based on 38.75 hours
Thank you for your comment. BC nurses should still make it a priority to fill out their surveys and mail them in the postage paid envelope before October 21! If we don't demand that our union leadership fight on our behalf we could very well end up working even more hours!

I will definitely take part in that survey.
And it is not about working 37.5 h, but unreflected rotations esp. when working
12 h shifts with included on calls.
They talk about safe staffing and creating new RN positions, for rural hospitals
like ours with not enough Casual positions this is a setback into unsafe staffing.
