I want to start a thread for those of you applying to Baylor-Houston's BSN-DNP CRNA program for 2017 admission. How is everyone faring so far? Being that this is a competitive program, this is a place where we can help each other out essentially.
I have applied and praying I get an invitation letter to interview. Who else is doing the same?
How many schools are you applying to? I applied to the two schools in Houston, TX.
Just wanted to pop in and say hello because i've been reading these posts the last month and I feel like a stalker. I've applied too and waiting to hear back about an interview! Hope we ALL get one. I also applied to UTHSC Houston, UT Chattanooga and The Army's CRNA program (haven't heard back for an interview on any of those), Midwestern (interview coming up) and Emory University (Interview coming up)

The interviews will take place on October 6-7, 2016.
Again, only those applicants selected for an interview will be notified of a specific date and time through a separate communication.

This email is from the UT Health CRNA School, not Baylor.
Has anybody heard anything from Baylor about application statuses or interview selection information?
I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that Baylor's interview dates for Jan 2017 admission were around Aug 18th. I hope that is right, because that's what I've been planning for and I'll have to plan to fly in for it. Also, planning on getting my tonsills out after the interview, so I scheduled my surgery in September. Figured I didn't want to risk missing the interview due to a surgical complication or me not feeling well.
But I haven't heard anything about my application status or official interview dates. I'm going to send them an email though, to see if I can get the dates and know for sure because NC wants me to do jury duty Aug 18th.
I just received an email back from Baylor about interview dates. They answered 5 minutes after I sent my email. That's FAST. Here it is verbatim:
"Interviews will be held on Friday, August 19and Saturday, August 20 (applicants will invited to interview one of these dates, not both). Our Admissions Committee is reviewing applications now and we anticipate sending out interview invitations via email next week.
If you have any questions, please let me know."
Seriously, if you need anything, just email them. They are on top of it.
Baylor has been super responsive with emails, I love that!
Well good luck again to everyone! I hope to be vacationing in the Carribean the week after next. Knowing I was invited to interview would be the perfect thing to start my vacation on a high note
So, I guess my email promoted the admission team to look at my file. I got an email stating I did not meet the admission requirements. Because my organic chemistry grade was a "C." It needs to be a "B" or better. :'(
i emailed back that I worked a lot as an undergrad to support myself and that I didn't spend enough time on my studies. I asked if I could retake Organic Chem and reapply next year. No reply yet.
Looks like this this is the end for me though I'm heartbroken. Mainly because the rest of my application was so strong.
I received an invitation as well. I'm hoping I can move my interview day to Saturday. I made a request to move the date on the form, however we will see if they are able to.
