Baylor Scott & White Residency February 2022

Hey, I wanted to start this thread for all of us applying for any Baylor Scott & White locations to keep each other updated with responses and interviews. I applied for BUMC specifically.

That's okay!! I did try and reach out to a recruiter and the internships email but still haven't heard back. Do you happen to have the recruiters name?

The recruiter that emailed me was (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), but if you want to try emailing the OR manager her name is (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)! All their emails are their first name (.) last name @bswhealth.org

does anyone know if ED or OR spots have been filled already for BUMC, Waxahachie, or All Saints? I have yet to hear back after filling out my preferences. I attended the Expo and emailed the internship email they provided us and have yet to hear back. I am losing hope ?

I heard back with an offer from BUMC ED on Monday so they may have already chosen their candidates.

You should expect mostly behavioral questions. ED did also ask some situational questions. Be confident and use as many clinical experiences in your answers. For virtual panel interviews, make sure you are giving every one visible on the screen eye contact.

another question: did any of you ever reach out to any of the unit directors/managers to see if they would set up an interview time? 
asking because while I have some interviews coming up, I have a NICU interview for McLane's until November 12th, so the recruiter said with having other interviews scheduled weeks before then and possibly getting offers, it would most likely be me having to either take an offer or declining and waiting for the NICU and see if I'm offered anything. def a gamble, but wondering if it would be wise or just annoying to email and see if they could get me in sooner? LOL

Sharing bc I would want all the information possible: I worked with one of the Childrens Hiring Managers yesterday and he said there’s only one spot left at Children’s. He said they have interviews this week and will probably send out an offer this weekend. I thought I heard that NICU had already hired their 5-7 GNs but I am not 100% on that. If I were you I’d double check with either your recruiter or someone on the accuracy of all of this but that’s what I was told (this was just what the hiring manager said in a casual conversation yesterday).

Thank you so much for sharing! my brain will not let me just drop something unless I have all the information sometimes, so I that's why I wanted to reach out. This really helps give me peace of mind, like hey maybe now is not the time since it seems most spots have been or will be filled.

I had my interview at BUMC for the OR position on Monday and they said they were gonna start calling with offers this week! ? 

I JUST now got a phone call from Baylor and I got an offer for the OR residency at BUMC! So phone calls should be coming in with offers today!

Yay! Congrats to you as well!! ? for the residency courses I heard we get to be with all the new grads who are starting in the Winter!!
