Baylor Hospital Houston

Published

I have been out of state , for 2 yrs , i am moving back to Houston in a month or so.

My question is when i left in 2012 , Baylor was building a hospital in the med center ,

i looked at their web site today , and it doesnt list a Houston Baylor Hospital, but they have ER positions in Houston , what happened ?

Thanks ,

It fell victim to the economy & construction was halted. A shame really, they removed an area with some really nice apartments to make room for the hospital that never happened.

BTW, Baylor college of medicine is an independent private entity... not connected to Baylor University or any of the other "Baylors" around the state.

thanks , second question, does Baylor have a standing free ER then ? they have a ER position in Houston open ?

No free standing ER that I have ever heard of (heard rumors of their new building having one, but not built yet).

I was in EMS in the Houston area, both 911 and transfer service, for 14+ years and never seen an ER there (unless something has opened in the last 4 years since I have been off an ambulance, which is possible).

If I remember correctly, patients that are being treated at BCM are usually told to use St Luke's or Methodist for adults and Texas Children's for pediatrics.

Maybe it is a position at one of those but with BCM? Or maybe one of their clinics?
