Hello everyone!
I just hit submit on NursingCas for the Summer 2022 start with Baylor! HESI was taken on Sept. 22nd and I have a couple pre-reqs to complete in the meantime. I hope to connect with more applicants and hopefully become future classmates!! GOOD LUCK!???
Just now, jan06 said:Hi guys! Congratulations for both of you! I am applying to Baylor program as well and will be taking HESI this Saturday!! I am nervous,,, I wish I could give you guys a good news as well! Is it okay for me to ask you guys some questions regarding the process and HESI exam experience?
Of course, ask away!

Thank you!! How did you prepare for HESI? I bought multiple practice test books and took practice tests on all of them and concepts of questions seem like slightly different.. do you have any recommendation how to prepare it? Do you think getting a high score on HESI will make a stronger application? I think I don't have good GPA... so I am little worried... Thanks in advance!

For the HESI I used Pocket Prep online which allows you to practice numerous questions and helps you see where more practice is needed. It also gives explanations on why the answer is correct and why the others are incorrect. I found that when I took the HESI, the questions were very close if not in the same format of the ones I practiced with on Pocket Prep. I used pocket prep for maybe an hour a day for 2-3 weeks before my test, but if you can familiarize yourself with the question formats and how to answer them, I think it could help by Saturday (plus its a free trial for a week). I think a higher HESI score could help offset a lower GPA, but don't worry too much if you meet the required 2.75. Wishing you the best of luck on your HESI and feel free to reach out if you have anymore questions!

I used pocket prep as well and discovered NurseHub a few days before I took the test. I highly recommend NurseHub because there are so many questions and they are set up similar to the actual exam. I ended up getting an overall score of 91.5% and felt I could have gotten it even higher if I used NurseHub earlier. Don’t worry about a low GPA. I had a low GPA but did great on my HESI and I have health care experience. I felt like that boosted my application a lot.
