Hey guys! Is anyone applying to Baylor's Distance ABSN for Spring of 2021? Just wanted to get a thread going.

Hey I just found this thread! I’ve applied and I’ve been waiting 4 weeks now. I assume it’s delayed because the fall cohort just started and I’m sure they’re busy. Hoping to get good news soon!

Hey for the people that got in do you mind sharing your stats? I had my interview a little under 2 weeks ago and im freaking out. The lady I had my interview said my stats were pretty good. but im nervous

I have a 3.5 GPA, was missing 7 prerequisites, just finished 4 of them and am taking history, two religion courses this fall. I had volunteer hours at a hospital for the past 3 years. I was just accepted last week!

Im sure you’ll get in! I think they send out acceptance letters and give ppl two weeks to accept, so then they can give out more seats after this first round.

sounds good... thank you. I have to do literature and 2 religion classes. I'm doing literature and world religion ... I cant find the other one. thanks for comforting words... Congratulations btw

Finding the religion classes are hard. World religion is offered at Dallas community college under Phil. As for the Bible course you can take it at APU for $900.

mclennan has a bible course that’s accepted at Baylor but they only offer a 16 week course Phil Religion 1 so that’s not an option if trying to start Jan since the course has begun. It’s a cheaper route. Unfortunately the advisors didn’t give me any advice on where to look for courses I found the McLennan one last week. And confirmed it would Work but it was too late to enroll.

Hey guys when did everyone apply? I'm starting to get a bit worried since I know they have rolling admissions. However, I submitted my application on July 13th and it took about 6 weeks to get my interview. I think it was because my advisor was out for a week, but I'm hoping this won't affect my chances of admission since I did submit very early!

Hey, the deadline was July 15 so your submission wasn’t that early but I submitted around the same time as you and waited probably 6-7 weeks until I was interviewed. From what I can’t tell, they just started sending admission letters so no need to worry!!

Oh I had no idea the deadline was that early! But okay awesome glad to hear that you submitted around the same time! Thanks!!

If it helps I was accepted but I applied in April. I originally was shooting for August term but they wanted 7 courses from me and with being a mom and full time I was like never going to happen LOL. You guys will probably hear soon. It is very true the first round of acceptance letters were last week on Thursday.

Can I ask what age your kids are and what your plan is during the two weeks in Dallas?

So I haven’t been accepted yet, but I have 3 kids and I’ve been planning what I’ll do with my kids. My husband works at home now since COVID started and he’s just going to try and juggle work and kids as best as he can for those 2 weeks on campus! Also I don’t think there’s actually a deadline. It’s a rolling admission so it’s just cut off as soon as the 35 spots are filled up. On the website they still say they’re accepting applications.

On NursingCAS the deadline changed from rolling to August 26th! So I'm assuming they have enough applications and had to set a deadline! My interview was about a week and a half ago so hopefully, all those who haven't heard back will hear back maybe this Thursday or next Thursday if you've done the interview already! Does anyone still have an interview to do or has everyone here done one already?
