Hey everyone! They told me that spots are all full but they'll be sending out waitlists soon and some fall 2021 acceptances. They send they would send out more acceptances if people drop the program for Spring 2021.

Hello All,

I want to apply for the ABSN program. Do you think it is more competitive than the fastbac program? What did you guys study for the vocab and grammar of the HESI?

Hello let me tell you about my experience. Yes this is a very good nursing program and you have to take HESI exam in order to get in to this program.

My advisor ( scott) told me that they are considering HESI scores but this is a first come first serve program.I applied for Spring 2021 ( early July)but they were saying that I have to wait till fall 2021 since the all seats were full.

Luckily I got accepted to an another nursing program which is starting in Spring 2021.

Hey, I’m not sure about the comparison between the ABSN program and the fastbacc but the ABSN is a newer program so it may become more competitive over the years. I would ask myself if I want to live in Dallas for the fastbac program if you don’t already and if you believe you learn better in person (fastbac) or are able to time manage and retain enough information in an online setting (ABSN).

For the HESI, I truly believe it depends on you as a test taker. I personally watched Youtube videos on how people with high scores studied and tricks that they found useful. There are some people who studied months and do well and there are people like me who study days or a couple weeks and still do well.

Hey yall, has anyone not heard back from the program yet? I'm assuming they're holding out to see if anyone drops their seat, but I'm not sure if I should just forget about it & move forward with my other nursing school.

How is this program? I have family live in TX but I do not live there. Is it okay for me to give their address or should I really live in TX to apply? Also, what is the length of the program?

Good Evening,

I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the cost of the program. I see that it is listed at roughly $65k-ish. I just started my journey into nursing but I am a little nervous about the cost of this program, especially given the fact that entry-level BSN RN in Houston seem to start out at $60k-$75k. Has anyone been able to obtain tuition waivers or grants / scholarship to offset for the cost of the program?
