Baylor BSN 2014 Spring Applicants

I was just wondering if there is anyone else applying for the 2014 spring program. It's my first time applying to a nursing school so I'm excited! My HESI is overall average 86% (not that great) and overall gpa 3.7, also I'd be considered a transfer student. Hope to hear from ya'll!

I moved here from Austin. Tomorrow may not work for me, but any other day would work. Maybe wednesday? Are you guys all originally from Dallas or have you moved here recently?

Totally understand, CatherineMay! I just moved here from San Diego. Will you be attending the BBQ Wednesday evening? I'll also be going by the optional orientation wednesday afternoon after my CPR class just to check in and meet my orientation leader. I'm sure we'll meet somewhere :)

Thats awesome guys! I was born in Dallas, but I recently moved back from Nacogdoches, TX!

San Diego?! Thats cool - and a huge move! Are yall living close to the campus? I live in Addison (North dallas) so it's a drive for me to Baylor. :\ I will also be stopping by the optional orientation after our CPR class :)

I bought the iclicker and I believe if you bought the book package the codes were included. I was a little confused as well but I checked my book boxes and it was in there. So, I am hoping that is what they are talking about.

Rachel - the iclicker was sold separately. Don't worry! Hopefully I see you again tonight at the BBQ, if you're still coming. I didn't even get a chance to say bye when you left. It was really nice meeting you today!!

Also, just curious I know we'll find out tomorrow but is anyone in section C5 for clinical rotation on Thursdays?

Hi everyone!

I've been stalking this thread I was accepted to Baylor LHSON starting spring 2015, and I can't find anyone else on allnurses that will be in my classes. I have learned alot from your posts and I still have SO many questions! How many sets of scrubs did yall end up needing? Do you all like the e-books or hardbooks better? Do you think buying from amazon would save money? Do any of yall use Baylor's student health insurance? does the financial aid help pay for the health insurance or will I be better off getting private insurance? Did anyone get their vaccines through the Baylor recommended clinic? I just quit my full time job and switched to PRN and lost my health insurance so I'm stressing out about the insurance and vaccines! Thanks for anyone who can help, now that you all have started I would love to get some insight, my nursing preview was last weekend and we got so much paperwork and info, my head is spinning!
