Hey! I did not see a thread for nurses applying to Baylor's CRNA program for 2018 so I decided to start one.I am applying to Baylor and UTHSC - Houston for classes starting in 2018. I have been watching these blogs for three years now, and I cannot believe I am ready to apply. I think my stats are average and am hoping to snag an interview. I taught high school for 8 years and have a MA in Math Education. 2nd career nurse! I am on here everyday. Hopefully some of us will be classmates in the future.
GPA: 3.4
GRE: 297 (yep taking this again before applications are due)
CVICU: 1 year 6 months to date (I will have 2 years when I submit my application)
IKjjuni366. I am also alternate listed at Baylor, accepted to TCU and interviewed at UT on the 27th. I know someone that was alternate listed last year at Baylor and got a call for acceptance a week later... he didn't take the spot. He said he felt like there were other places that fit him better. I believe there will be spots open up at Baylor the question is will you take the spot at Baylor if you do get into UT before then.

Night and day between UT and Baylor. I felt more intimidated with UT even though the process is short and sweet. Sitting front and center was more nerve racking for me because I don't like "public speaking" and I felt like I was on stage giving a speech. I felt the interview went well but at both school I had questions that stumped me. Baylor had a mix between clinical, personal, and off the wall questions. UT I got a couple personal questions and mostly clinical but I couldn't believe how short it was and then your done. I was left feeling like I needed more time to show them what I know and why it should be me they choose. Now we just wait and see.
