Baycare(St. Anthony's) vs Bayfront vs Tampa general Hospital

Hello everyone!
I have recently graduated school and passed my NCLEX. I have applied to 3 hospitals: Bayfront, St. Anthony's Hospital, and Tampa General Hospital. I used to work at Tampa General as a tech so am familiar with the hospital which is a plus. There are many pros and cons to all 3 hospitals, and I am wondering if anyone has some insight on any of the three to help me choose the better path. I am looking for a great hospital to work at that will give me experience. Tampa General I know is a great hospital although the pay is lower than the other two choices. I also do not want to live in Tampa so not sure if I would make a commute or just relocated to Tampa from St. Petersburg, FL. It would be about a 30 minute commute if I chose to stay in the St. Pete area. Thank you so much for any insight given!

There's not much of a decision to make until you get actual offers.

St. Anthony's hospital and Bayfront are offers, but I am still trying to weigh out the options of all three. I do not want to exclude Tampa General out of my choices yet.

About 18 months ago when I was looking for a job after finishing my RN Tampa General would not hire a new RN without a BSN. Only experienced two year RNs would be considered.

Many of my former classmates that have worked for baycare love it there.

I'm not sure about bayfront.

Are they having you sign contracts to get your BSN by 2020? Im trying to find a hospital job but they all want Bsns. Tampa General called but asked aboit my intentions aboit going back to school and had 2 dates, one which I had to be enrolled in school by and the other I had to be finished by. Still not sure I want to go back for my BSN

Most hospitals are all going to want BSNs eventually so I highly recommend going back to school. I am already in a BSN program and will be done next december 2018. I did have to sign a contract saying it would be complete by 2020. I took the tampa general position as I used to work there and feel very comfortable. Not to mention it is one the most respectable hospitals in many aspects. A lot of places say they only take BSNs but they often will hire without but they will want you to eventually get it, there isn't really a way around that. I would just go knock it out if I were you Good luck:-)

When I was interviewing with HCA a year and a half ago I was told that they were soon going to be requiring this of new hire RNs for the area. While it could be an inconvenience if you don't really want the hassle of going back to school, many programs are available online which makes it way more convenient while working. They also are willing to reimburse for over $5k per year for tuition which makes it affordable. Now, the clincher is if your willing to stick around for 2 years after the reimbursement...
