Hello all!

With the start of the application cycle for Barry being right around the corner, I wanted to start this thread so we can all communicate and hopefully be future classmates! Good luck to everyone! ?

Following. Still waiting to hear back. Does anyone know since deadline is November 1st if they will send interview invites before the deadline?

During the info session she stated interviews would be October and November and will most likely go on hold throughout the holidays and resume afterwards.

I applied last year on august to Barry and didn’t hear back until February next year, to tell me they couldn’t give me an interview. I wanted to reapply again this year but I’m not sure yet since they took so long to finally tell me no ? I got interview last year at UM and FIU but didn’t get in of course. Planning on trying this year again. ?

I submitted late August and still have not heard back yet, besides an email saying my application was in the next pile to be reviewed

Wow.. 6 months? That’s kind of ridiculous. Were you waitlisted and then denied?

Got my denial call today. Good luck to everyone!

I’m sorry you didn’t get in, but it’s nice that you were given an answer quickly and not expected to wait for months! Do you mind me asking if it was a denial after applying? Or a denial after interviewing?

Im so sorry to hear that, did they mention specifically why? Or possibility of waitlist ?

I kept emailing and sent another this morning, asking if I’d get a denial notice at least since it’s been a little over 4 weeks and not hearing anything - she called me this morning and told me I needed a stronger GPA. I did not get an interview.

I really appreciate you being so willing to share so that the rest of us can learn from it! Good luck!

I appreciate the transparency of sharing what the university told you. Do not give up best of luck

Thanks everyone! Will keep pushing — not my first obstacle in this nursing career and won’t be my last! I’m going to try and take a few more science courses to strengthen my GPA. I was barely a 3.0 cumulative. I’ve been in school so long and some classes from over 10 years ago makes it hard to get my GPA moving. Hoping a few grad courses will help with that.
