Hello all!

With the start of the application cycle for Barry being right around the corner, I wanted to start this thread so we can all communicate and hopefully be future classmates! Good luck to everyone! ?

Yes, I plan on having my application end by the end of the month at the latest,

I got accepted to Barry Orlando a month ago! Has anyone else gotten in but not decided if that's where they actually are going to go? I paid their deposit but I'm waiting on another school to get back to me.

Specializes in MICU/SICU/Travel/CCRN.

Anyone here in the WPB cohort? Is there a facebook group yet???

I saw you got accepted in USF! Congrats!  If you will choose between Barry and USF, which one will you choose? ?

USF is my #1 school!

Did they add these requirements over the past year or two? I have had my eye on applying to Barry since 2020, and have been finishing up my application to finally apply this round. I was just looking over the websites criteria, and now I see a link I have never noticed before. Is the CRNA shadowing experience form something new? Also, I swear that for the Chemistry requirement, there was never a "within the last 5 years" at least back in 2020 and 2021.

I can handle the CRNA shadowing form, but the Chemistry thing through me off. I have a BSN 2020 , and another BS in a science from 2011 with lots of science/chem courses. I am actively in the ANE695 Transition to Anesthesia course to make up for not having a recent chem course, because I don't think my classes from BSN in 2020 would cover the requirement.

Wondering if anyone else noticed this, also good luck to everyone applying this round!

I think the Chemistry within the last 5 years has always been a thing. However, the shadowing a CRNA is new. I don't see a form that is required on NursingCAS or their website. Do we make our own? I know other schools have their own shadowing forms like South University.

Best of luck!

I used this from their website!

I'm just finishing up my essay so I can submit application. I'm applying last minute. Hoping for the best.

Has anyone else received an invite for interview or acceptance lately? I received an email a few weeks ago stating that my application was being reviewed (Looked like a general blanket email sent to all applicants possibly)

Specializes in STICU.

I interviewed this last past Friday Sept 9th for a spot in Orlando or Gainesville. Waiting to hear.
