Hello all! I just thought I would start a thread for those of us applying. I have started my application and I am working on my personal statement now. How are you all doing?
I have taken the GRE and passed my CCRN. I still need to get my PALS. I also need to ask for my letters of recommendation and send in my school transcripts & GRE scores. I'm going to try to apply for the Tampa campus.
Thanks for updating here. It's about the only thing keeping me sane ha ha.
It's hard because I can't plan life until I know one way or another... =\
If I didn't get in my partner was going to start her doctorate program and I would just reapply after she finished (we can only afford one of us to be in schooo at a time!) but we are in limbo...

You're welcome!! And yeah I know how you feel with not being able to plan life
I hope so!!! CongratsI've heard across the board there's a shift to a doctorate instead of masters. I'm not sure on the specifics of Barry though!
You are correct...All programs have to offer DNP or DNAP by 2025 graduating and the other SoFL universities already have BSN-DNP so I heard Barry will have their first starting May 2018. I'm wondering how much more $$$ it will cost to add on 8 more months to finish with DNP at Barry to be able to compare with the other schools.... not sure if I'd rather work as CRNA then do DNP part time while having some income or suck it up and be out of work longer and just finish... 😠Decisions decisions...

Same I was thinking I'd do DNP part time while working but the straight through program sounds s little enticing though but idk ugh it is a tough decision
The cohort starting in January 2018 will be the last MSN class. Starting January 2019, the curriculum will be the DNP.
Thanks! I heard they're interviewing until September also. I want to ask them about their DNP cohort that I'm hearing starts May 2018... Anyone heard/read anything about it?
Can anyone give insight into how the first week is like for the head start courses? They begin August 23 and I plan on taking them. I had originally booked a trip to Europe from August 19-28 and highly thinking about canceling my trip due to the classes beginning while I'm gone.
Do it. You won't have any assignments or tests. The only thing you'll need to do is sign in for chem class so your name pops up like you're watching it. He usually records them all, so you can go back and watch. Usually just a tuesday and thursday I think.
You do not have any breaks in the program unless you use your allotted "PTO" time for a vacation. But most people in the first year use that to study for finals. Should have more time after the first year tho.
So I say take the vacation.
