Anyone applying to Barry University BSN to DNP starting May 2019?

Any tips for the interview?

Congrats TKDChic440, I hope your interview goes well!!! When did you apply?

I also got an interview for the 28th as well. It's a "meet and greet" interview. There are about 4-6 six people interviewing you plus an additional 4-5 students on monitor who are also interviewing. So the whole interview panel is like 10-11 people lol. But they're all very nice and friendly. My friend had an interview a few weeks ago and she said they asked her basic questions like strengths, weaknesses, shadowing experience, critical care experience, examples of leadership, etc. They also asked her to teach them a certain topic for two minutes. Therefore, she chose to teach them something trauma related such as the massive transfusion.

Just finished my application. No luck with schools here in Texas. Hoping for Barry. How long did it take to receive an interview invite?

About 3-4 weeks!

I'm still waiting from July...:(( they don't invite everyone...

Do they only interview once per month?

Do they only interview once per month?

No, I have the dates. It was given to me in an email when I was told my application was under review. There is one this Friday, and two in October for now. If you see this thread you will note people giving thier interview dates. So that would have been 4 different interview dates, because I know they already did one.

Yeah I was given three to choose from. One this Friday and two in October.

Hey everyone! So I got an email last week saying that my application was being reviewed and "the next step would be scheduling an interview." Does this mean they are planning to interview me? Because they also told me what dates they are interviewing in October, and because I live 1200+ miles away, I told them that I wasn't available for the first date but would be available for the second date. They said they would give me enough notice and get back to me with "feedback and more information" the first week of October. It's just that my initial reaction was that I thought they were telling me that I was going to be invited for an interview, but now I am not so sure. It's like the wording was vague. Carolyn emailed me back and said that "hopefully I can be part of the October 26 interviews."

Did anyone else have a similar experience? Does this mean that I am going to be invited for an interview? Or does it just mean that they've started reviewing my application? Thanks and good luck to everyone!

They still have to call you for an invite. You'll get an interview packet as well if you're invited.
