I had no problems scheduling mine. The school nurse only works certain days. I can't remember exactly which days, but know Tuesdays for sure. Maybe try calling on a Tuesday, or possibly emailing her.

I think I was just calling at the wrong times. Got it all worked out now. I don't have very much luck with these things!

Hi everyone! I was also accepted into the spring 2016 class doing the LVN to RN fast track. Is there anyone on here in the same boat? Also are far as scrubs go...do we have to buy special ones from them or how does that work? In LVN school we had to wear ones with the schools name on it so I wasn't sure.

I think we can buy whatever scrubs we want as long as they are the schools color. From the couple of times I've been to the campus and seen students, it seems that everyone was wearing navy blue/dark blue scrubs. And they all seem to being wearing different brands but had the school patch sewn on.

I think that we'll also get the patches plus be told exactly what we will need scrub wise during orientation.

I actually wish that something was sent out along with the acceptance letters in regards to uniforms and specific materials needed for the program to help spread out the cost. I would love to start buying things here and there instead of all at once to avoid spend a big sum at once but I also don't want to buy things that are not needed. Cause if they did send out a hand out I would've started buying slowly back in September. Hopefully, there will be some black friday sales that'll apply to scrubs.

Ive read somewhere that alumni have , in the past, sold their scrubs to new students. Has anyone spoken to financial aide about loans or grants?

No, I haven't spoken to financial aid yet. I believe we meet with them during orientation. I did fill out my fafsa though.

And still nothing for background check.

I'm still impatiently waiting to get the email so we can start our background check. Other than that I have my processing day on the 17th. If I remember correctly we should be receiving an email next week of stuff we need to have done prior to processing day.
