I hadn't seen a thread for the spring 2016 admissions, just wondering if theres anyone else out there!
:)
Did any of you apply for the LVN program Spring 16? Looks like you're all rns. I had originally applied for Fall 15 LVN, was accepted, but due to a few issues my application was forwarded to Spring 16. Last time, the priority deadline was June 1 and I found out I was accepted on June 4. This time, our deadline was October 1 and I still haven't heard anything yet... freaking out! I don't think it helps that I found out so quickly last time, and this time it's just a waiting game... I had also emailed Rebecca asking her a question last week and never heard back, so my anxious brain is really spinning this one into knots right now. If any of you are LVN applicants, have you heard back yet?

I don't remember anyone on here also applying to the LVN. I would email her back though since you haven't heard something back from her and you said you emailed her last week. She is very good at responding back fairly soon. I've always heard back from her within a few hours except for when I emailed late on a Friday afternoon but I had a response from her first thing Monday morning.
Last week they sent out our admissions notices and some people on here were accepted but never received the email do to a technical glitch. So it's possible she could've emailed you back and you never received it. Or it could've been mistakenly overlooked. Never hurts to resend the email. Good luck!

I know it's silly, I just don't want to be annoying. I really would like to email her again, but I also wouldn't know what to say if I did. It hasn't been two weeks yet and I don't want to seem like I am begging for them to email me back. In the past she's always emailed me back within hours, so I'm sure she's just crazy busy right now, especially since it looks like there were some glitches with the RN emails.

No it's not silly! Just simply ask if notifications are going to be sent around whatever date they should be sent. The day before we received ours I emailed her asking if they were still going to sending out admissions that week and she replied.
Don't feel like you're being annoying. Her job is an admissions advisor, it's her job to answer questions no matter how many come from one single person or many. I've sent her plenty of emails with questions, sometimes days in a row.

Okay, I already feel SO much better after reading that! I hadn't emailed her since July until last week, so I don't think two emails in a week is so bad. At this point I'm so anxious waiting that I'm just over analyzing everything. I pretty much said exactly what you told me to say. Thank you for your help :)
If you only knew how many times I've ever emailed her....I felt the same feelings you're feeling right now. I did get responses. Sometimes they took a long, long time to get back to me and other times it was a matter of minutes. I've only ever heard very positive things about Baptist. I'm positive they are so busy and that's why you may not have heard back in a timely manner. Keep sending your emails...it's your persistence that is going to make you a great nurse!

you could always show up to the office to "inquire" about the application. I can't tell you how many times I felt as though I would not be welcome or a nuisance to my schools. BUT we have to remember that we will have to fight our way through everything from now on, to be successful. I learned very early on in my undergrad that I DO matter and that I need to find answers rather quickly to be successful. Its only when I get a little lazy that something goes wrong ! I hope you get your answer soon.
