Baptist School of Health Professions (Fall 2015)

Published

I've been checking to see if anyone has made a new thread for this fall, so I finally decided to be the one to do it.

I've sent in my application, taken the TEAS, and just need to send in my A&P II grade once I finish the class in May. Hoping to meet some other applicants! We're moving to San Antonio this summer from Alabama (military family). I'm really hoping that I make it in this fall!

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

@addy88 are you going to retake the test before the 15th?

Yes. I already rescheduled for the 12th. :)

Only a month and a half left until we hear the big news! Im torn in deciding if I want to re-test before the 15th of June.

TEAS: 74.7

Reading: 81.0

Math: 66.7 (yikes)

Science: 79.2

English: 70

A&P I: A

A&P II: A

Micro: B

If I dont get into BSHP for the fall, I plan on applying (re-testing in October) for UTHSCA and dont really know if testing for a 3rd time would look terrible...That would be if I test again before the 15th of june and for some reason do not get a higher score.

Gah.

I was looking at the Fall 2014 Baptist thread and it looks like the first person to hear back heard on May 21st (second to last week of May on a Wednesday). So, in theory, people could start hearing results anytime in the next week or so. That's just my guess, though.

I'm still waiting for my last transcript to get there. They mailed it yesterday by snail mail. Just my luck my college here doesn't submit transcripts electronically.

@badgertastic Hmm, I wonder if that's going to be the case this year. I'm still waiting for my transcripts to get there also. I just sent them today...Do you know if we just take our HS diploma in by hand?

@Badgertastic did you have your professor email Rebecca your grade? Sometimes they will take that and use it until the transcripts come in.

Rebecca had told me that they have to have the official transcript to process my application, so I think it won't count if I have my professor mail her the grade.

I don't know about taking in by hand. We're out of state right now (moving there this summer) so I've had to mail everything in.

I was able to have my professor email Rebecca my grade. NVC didn't update their website with final grades until yesterday and the deadline for priority applications was May 15 for Baptist. Maybe you can call or email her just be on the safe side.

I was told that everything just has to be in by June 15th and we would still be okay.

That's good to hear especially since I know NVC is slow with mailing transcripts. Thanks.

What exactly did he send? Just a statement from his college e-mail address what your grade was?

I sent her a screenshot of my final grades from the college's website and told her the official grade would be sent this week by the school (snail mail only). She thanked me for keeping her informed but didn't say anything about my professor sending the score.

What is the Priority applications? I thought we had to have the application in by May 15 but had until June 15 to get all the documents and test scores in.

I am not entirely sure how the priority application deadline is processed. I just know I was told I needed to have my grade submitted via email by 15 May for the priority deadline. I was told to have my professor email my final grade; which he did immediately following my final last week.

I know there is also a 15 June application deadline as well. All of the deadlines are listed on the Baptist website.
