Banner Nurse Fellows Program

Published

I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?

I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!

Ultra Magnus,

I will be graduating in March from BNF and am wondering if you can keep me posted as to what happens with your situation (since I may be in that same situation). I have been looking at Banner's site for jobs and haven't noticed the lack of positions for new grads too and have been wondering how it will all work. I think it is ridiculous and unfair that they are extending the time limit past 45 days.

Oops....I meant I have noticed the lack of positions.

I am curious if they will continue the Banner Nurse Fellows Program at all if it seems like they can't place new grads with jobs.

Why don't they start limiting the amount of cohorts or students per cohort? (but I would love to be in one before they do!)

I also wonder if they are continuing with the program due to the new Cancer Center they are building and the hospital in Queen Creek. There will be more jobs, but it is in the future.

Good luck to those new grads needing to be hired!

I applied for the banner program that starts in October. Has anyone got a phone call for an interview yet? Just wondering how far along they are. I know the application deadline was last friday. Just a little ancy.

I got a call today for an interview and a friend of mine got a call yesterday for her interview.

That is great! For which cohort? The one for people with bachelors degrees or the regular one? I have a bachelors degree already so I am hoping I have a good shot at that one.

Thanks! I am going for the October Gateway cohort--for Bachelor Degree holders.....good luck to you!

I just applied for the BNFP for the cohort at GateWay in October and was wondering if anyone knows how long until they call or send a letter letting you know you got in? I turned in my application one day before the due date, so maybe it takes a little longer....?

Thanks!

I turned in my application the day of the deadline, April 3rd, received a call for an interview on the 6th, and had my interview that next week. Then on May 10th they sent out letters. I was accepted into the GateWay cohort for July and I'm starting next Tuesday! It all happened really quick. However, after reading through some posts I found out that some people had a longer wait for their call. Just my experience though.

Good luck to you :)

When did you turn your application in? I'm hoping maybe my call is a little late since I turned mine in ON the due date!! Yikes! I'm nervous! :)

So they're calling people?! I was stressed out enough checking my e-mail multiple times a day and anxiously awaiting the snail mail....now I have another method of communication to stress out over! Is a phone call the only way they go about notifying you that you've been selected for an interview?
