Bankrupcty

I know, I know...but I told m mother I would ask anyway. :uhoh3:

Will a bankruptcy cause you problems getting a nursing license/job?

I have no idea but I would say no for the license but possibly for the job, depending on the employer's requirements.

I wouldn't worry about it, especially if it's been a few years. Generally, organizations worry about bk's only if you are applying for a high level position or you work with money. My previous boss got a job with a municipality in accounts receivable with a bk on file and they do a thorough background check. People have gotten jobs with worse records. Another coworker's brother got a job as an X-ray tech with a felony (spent time in jail for drug-dealing). It took a lot of letter-writing but he did get a job and is doing well now.

if you ae still in school it may interfer with getting loans, not sure about this

but i know sevral nurses who went through bankruptcy not the best idea but shouldn't interfer with work
