Hi I have an interview for a Band 7 Trauma nurse co-ordinator and need to give a presentation on the 'quality benefits of trauma co-ordinator'. Any tips, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any ideas yourself, what are the expected outcomes stated in your job description and what ideas do you have from that.

Its difficult to give any more detailed advice without knowing what the aims of the role are.

Improving outcomes, decreasing LOS

PTA screening ? AWAPTAS or other screening tool you could perform to assess PTA resolving rather than waiting on an OT to assess

Performing tertiary assessments rather than waiting on doctors

Patient/ family information to explain process of major trauma rehab???

Follow up assessments with an OT/ Psychologist at 3/6 months to assess for cognitive impairment and PTSD.
