This would probably be better suited in the UK nursing forum as I don't think there any active members from the UK on this forum at the moment.
Good luck!

You will be probably be asked about
* Managing a team/department and meeting clinical targets as well as maintaining high standards of care.
* Managing a budgets. Dealing with sickness, annual leave, recruitment and retention, performance management. Clinical auditing at management level.
* Dealing with conflict Within teams/departments
*Managing clinical risk in relation to the ward/department.
* Dealing with CQC etc.
* Managing policies and adherence etc.
I am only a band 5 by the way but i am guessing these are the things you may be asked at interview.
Also you may be asked if you have or prepared to take on a Masters Degree for your role.

Take a look at my article on interview techniques.
Look at the Francis report, and the Andrews report (I think it's called trusted to care)
How could you avoid creating care environments found I'm those enquiries.
How will you achieve financial balance, think sickness management, retention of staff, bank and agency monitoring etc
