I am a BSN who graduated in 1995. I am looking at BSU FNP program and wondered if anyone has feedback on their program. I have to continue to work and the online option is the only one I can do because of family and work commitments. Thanks
The program is completely online. So far all of my classes are fully online. There are assigned readings with each module and exams/quizzes at the end of each module. I think the format is great for an adult learner and someone who works full time. As in any program, what you put into it, is what you will get out of it. If you have any more questions, please let me know.
I've heard there is a 2 year wait list for their program. . .not sure how true that is. . .and since they are going to make NP's have Doctorates in 2015. . that's really pushing it. Just throwing that out there. . . again, not sure how true that is about the wait list. . that's just what I've heard.
I do have friends in that program though. . all have nothing but good things to say about it. The wait list scares me since we now have the 2015 deadline.
Thanks a lot for this great information, you're a great help to a lot of us looking for FNP programs. I am a new grad RN who just started on a med surg floor a couple months ago. I have my ADN and a non-nursing bachelors. I eventually want to be an FNP and was curious about the price tag you incurred for the total endeavor. Also, could you talk more about how you set up your own clinical rotations and what that was like? Was it difficult to find practitioners willing to take you on? How did you get in contact with them?
Thanks a lot for your time, I really appreciate it.
I just got accepted in the online FNP program at BallState University. I start in August and I am super excited! I would love to hear any feedback about the program and ways to make sure that I stay on top of assignments! Thank you for the information so far. Very helpful. I'm a little nervous about it but I want to do my absolute best in the program. Thank you.
