Bad Evaluation?

I haven't done travel in years and started with a new agency. I have had problems with this particular charge nurse already. My agency already had to call the Manager of the floor to see if their were any problems. She seems to think because I apparently make more money then everyone else she can just schedule me once a week. =/ It was fixed right away and I did get my scheduled hours.

Well, this particular agency has the facility fill out an evaluation for after two weeks. I figured that since I have been called in to do extra hours, have not been told that I have made any mistakes, come into work on time, help out, etc. that I would at least get some Meets Needs. Well, no I had some things where I need help, especially on Policies and Procedures. What? Is this another, "You make more than everyone else." thing again where I am suppose to know everything and not ask questions. I surely know Policies and Procedures quite well. I do have to ask questions, because everywhere is different. But, it isn't Rocket Science.

I have had this happen to me before when I worked for Agency, when this particular Charge Nurse became hostile. But, of course with Agency you just don't go back to this place. I mean I don't think she will get hostile, but she is quite upsetting. This hasn't happened to me before. I mean usually I even get to either be hired or asked back. Actually, she even asked me if I would work there? lmao! I think my agency will handle it AGAIN and that I should just give my evaluation to the Manager since I now realize this particular Charge just doesn't like the way I work.

Anyhow, is this the usual?

What you have experienced is getting more and more common.

I would follow-up and make sure that at least your side of the story is documented. When they check anything less than satisfactory on your Evals, IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO FOLLOW YOU, and it is enough that the agency will know. Still, sometimes unless it involves a BON, the agency will not fight an allegation of wrong doing, and sadly it will be you to clear your name, or at least document your side of the story.

Even when a staff member is written up, they have a chance to add their side of the story.

I would make sure everything you mentioned is added to the docket, even trying to hire you to their facility shows a lack of INTEGRITY because most HOSPITAL/AGENCY contract spells out that they are NOT to attempt to recruit you, and often you must work up to 48 mos w/o joining a facility you have worked at.

PLEASE FOLLOW UP AND TELL YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY.

THE AGENCY NURSE SHOULD BE TREATED AS A STAFF MEMBER, NOT A STEPCHILD. YOU HAVE RIGHTs. YOU HAVE THE BALL. DON'T LET THEM TARNISH YOUR RECORD.

It is resolved. Nothing what you describe was my situation. I was not written up for bad conduct, nor was my eval less than satisfactory. I think the scored I received were bad and could of been better. Thanks for your comment though.

It might help someone who has been in the situation you were describing.
