I just got a case study back and didn't do so hot. This discourages me. I was wondering how much this is going to effect me being a good nurse. I am almost done with school so shouldn't I be getting really good at these things?

No not at all! You can't learn everything there is to know in nursing school. You will learn sooooo much more! Just learn what you got wrong and continue to study hard. I think everyone feels like this way time and again. Learn from your mistakes, question everything, know that you will never know everything, but strive to do so, and keep that passion and love for nursing alive! You will be a great nurse!! Keep telling yourself that. =)

don't worry about it. that's why you are going to school--to learn, hence the words, nursing student. even when you get out into the real world, you are always learning. in fact, the best nurse's never stop learning and are always open to new ideas. heck, life is one big learning experience. i would be concerned if you didn't feel discouraged. there is no "super nurse" who knows everything (although i have met a few who would beg to differ). so don't sweat the small stuff. you sound like you will be a great nurse, so hang in there and good luck!
