Background check?

Published

I have yet to receive a provisional email as to whether I am accepted or not for the fall semester but I received an email from the nursing program I applied with to go and get a fingerprinted/background check.

I know this means nothing as to whether I am in or out but is it a good sign that they wanted me to go ahead with this step?

Just curious.

The last final for school is this Thursday...I am done with everything so I didn't have to take any classes this semester but the first email I received from the nursing program said if we didn't receive a provisional email in April/March we would receive our final answer in May.

I'm just going a bit nuts waiting.

How can it be a good sign if it means nothing? :roflmao:

Hahaha maybe I didn't put that right! I know some people will say it means nothing...that they just sent me to go get it as part of the process.

I would find it strange that they would ask people to go through the time and expense of a background check before being accepted, most programs have an abundance of applicants. That's a lot of unnecessary background checks. If you don't know if this is what they do to everyone I'd email admissions and ask about it.

Thanks I will do that. Hopefully they'll get back to me fast. I know they have their hands full. And it would suck if I didn't get in after having paid $40 on the background check. My husband is the only one bringing in income at the moment so its hard on us even to spend that much.
