Hi everyone!
I'm starting this thread for applicants that have submitted/are in the process of submitting their application for Fall 2020. I'm hoping we can all get together and discuss our experiences with the whole application and potential interview process ?
I'm currently in the process of finishing up my application and am extremely nervous about hitting that Submit button once it's finished. I don't have the best overall undergrad GPA, but was able to redeem myself a bit with my pre-reqs GPA. I am hoping that my personal essay and references will help increase my chances of being accepted *fingers crossed*.
The deadline is in exactly a month and I would like to say good luck to everyone!

I got A in all my prereqs except for Biochem at the time I applied (I retook physiology and microbiology). My undergrad GPA is 3.25 which is mediocre but I worked as a CNA and volunteered at a hospital for 6 months.

I was accepted to the main campus fall 2020.
Honestly I believe APU looks at everything because my grades are not amazing. I have a 2.9 on my science GPA and a 3.2 on my non science GPA.
I graduated in 2016 with a B.S. cellular biology and retook anatomy and physiology.
With my extracurriculars, I volunteered at the UCI medical center for 1 year as a healthcare assistant, worked as a medical scribe at St Joseph’s Health Hospital for 1 year, worked as a medical assistant/scribe at an orthopedic surgery center, traveled to 3 different countries for medical missions, hosted a few blood drives with American Red Cross as a leader saves lives volunteer, worked as a undergraduate research assistant for 3 years and presented my poster research project at Point Loma University, and I also shadowed a nurse practitioner and RN. This is all in the span of 6 years.
