I am starting this for anyone that is applying Spring 2024 for APU nursing program. Deadline is October 1, 2023. You can post your experience applying, questions about the application and if you get accepted into the nursing program.

So glad you created this thread! I'm planning to apply for LVN to BSN program. I'm updating my resume, sending my official transcripts and working on my statement of professional nursing goals. Yes, for Spring 2024. Did you submit your application already? What location is your first choice? I only want to pick Monrovia but they ask for an alternate too.

No I did not. It says one page essay so that's what I did. I did turn in a resume

I was accepted to APU two days ago to their Direct Entry MSN program but opted out in favor for JHU. My stats are not too impressive. I had a 3.28 undergrad GPA with virtually no community service hours. But I do have around 2.5k patient care hours clocked as an EMT. My letters of rec and essays were strong though.

Congrats on getting accepted ? it's a big accomplishment, honestly.  It was probably hard to opt out from such a great opportunity but you and only you know what is best for yourself. Leave it all in God's hand and He will guide you in the right path. 
I am also an EMT and now work as a tech at a hospital.

Hey all,

I also applied to APU for Spring. I put the High Desert Campus as my first choice! It is my first time applying and I also applied to a few other CC's and Universities but APU is my first choice. What are all of your stats if you don't mind me asking? Mine are:

Cum GPA (Based on their worksheet): 3.94

Pre-req GPA: 4.0

And 5 years of medical experience as a Corpsman.

Hello  nice to see you started a thread!  I hadn't found one prior. I applied for Spring 2024 LVN to BSN. Program for Monrovia with no Alternative location as I live in Los Angeles.

my stats are 

CUM GPA:

3.47

Science GPA:

3.75

14 yrs as a LVN.  
first time applying just ready to get this RN  on my name.

Hi all,

I see these are mostly BSN program, but figured I'd include I applied for PMHNP post-masters cert program due to start in Jan 2024. The original deadline was August 1 and it's been extended several times. I have still yet to hear back, though the admissions representative said they should start announcing soon. 

Has anyone who applied to this or any of the NP programs heard back yet?
